General Terms and Conditions of Sale for Inextremis Aventura

Your Organizer :
Languages ​​spoken: French, Catalan, Spanish, English.

Canyoning Instructor : Certified by the French State in Canyoning, with professional liability insurance and search and rescue coverage.

Equipment provided : Wetsuit, shoes (size 36 and up), and helmet (Aquatic Hiking)
Wetsuit, shoes (size 36 and up), helmet, harness, double lanyards with carabiners, and descender (Canyoning)

Personal equipment to bring : 1 swimsuit, 1 spare pair of shoes (e.g., flip-flops) + 1 pair of socks (mandatory) + large water bottles (plenty of water), hair tie for long hair.

Minimum number of participants :
Guaranteed departure with a minimum of 4 people

Conditions :

– Be in good physical condition,
– Not significantly overweight*,
– Have no medical contraindications to participating in the activity,
– Be a strong swimmer and not afraid of water,
– Not afraid of heights for canyons with rappelling,
– Bring the required equipment,
– Minors must be accompanied by an adult,
– The person making the reservation is responsible for informing all participants in their group about the participation requirements and the activity’s procedures.

*Overweight individuals are asked to specify this at the time of booking so that we can assess, based on the chosen route, whether participating in the activity presents any risks.

On the day of the outing, the instructor reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who does not meet all of these conditions (intoxicated or significantly fatigued, without proper equipment, having lied about being too heavy for the activity, unaccompanied minor, age, etc.).
In this case, the deposit will not be refunded.

Concepts regarding the environment and risky activities:
Outdoor sports are exciting and enriching activities, but they involve risks related to the natural environment (weather hazards, obstacles and terrain changes, rockfalls, falls, etc.) as well as risks inherent to each sporting activity (which vary from “mild” to “high” depending on the level and type of activity).
These risks are particularly high in certain sports known as “specific environment” sports (adventure climbing, Via Ferrata, canyoning) – where the use of highly qualified professional instructors is strongly recommended.

Limitation of Liability of the Instructor :
The primary role of the guide or instructor is to reduce risks, without being able to claim to eliminate them entirely. This inherent element of risk, inherent in any activity in a natural environment and in any notion of adventure, can be the source of discomfort, inconvenience, incidents, or even accidents, related to the specific characteristics of the activity and/or its natural environment, regardless of any fault on the part of the instructor. This particular dimension must be taken into account before contracting with a professional instructor; the participant must therefore knowingly assume their own share of responsibility in the decision to engage in an activity and a natural environment whose inherent objective risks they cannot reasonably ignore.

• Precautions and responsibilities of the participant towards the instructors and the group:
Before any activity, it is essential:
– that the participant inform their guides or instructors of their physical, psychological, and technical profile and any resulting precautions, restrictions, and contraindications related to the sport
– to carefully review the information provided by the instructors to ensure they are properly equipped and prepared.

During field activities, to ensure your own safety and that of the group, it is crucial to:
– arrive with the recommended equipment (if not provided by the instructors)
– follow the instructions of the guides or instructors
– and not hesitate to ask for clarification if you have any doubts.

Minimum age: 8 years for aquatic hikes, 10 years for introductory canyoning, 12 years for introductory (intermediate) canyoning, and 14 years for advanced canyoning (children and teenagers must always be accompanied by their parents).
Each participant must be in good physical condition and must not have any medical contraindications to participating in these activities.
Participants in canyoning must be able to swim at least 25 meters freestyle, jump, and submerge themselves in water. For holiday camps, a 25-meter swimming certificate is required for each participant.

The rates include :
Supervision by an instructor with professional liability insurance + search and rescue costs.
Loan of canyoning-specific equipment.

Not included:
Transportation from your home or holiday accommodation to the practice location
Drinks

Booking and payment :
You can book online by paying a 20% deposit by credit card; this will confirm your booking.

Canyon Trip Cancellation Policy :
Less than 7 days before the canyoning trip: the deposit paid is non-refundable and will be retained.
If one or more participants cancel less than 48 hours in advance or on the day of the canyoning trip, Inextremis Aventura will charge the entire group for the remaining places.
Depending on the water flow and weather conditions, the organizer may decide to reschedule or cancel a canyoning trip for safety reasons.

Weekend/Canyoning Trip Cancellation Policy :
In the event of cancellation on your part (unless you find a replacement for the trip), cancellation fees will be retained by Inextremis Aventura:
You have a 7-day right of withdrawal following the booking date of your trip, provided that the cancellation is made no later than 30 days before the activity date.
More than 29 days before departure: 10% per person for administrative fees
Between 29 and 21 days: 25% of the total amount
Between 20 and 8 days: 50% of the total amount
Between 7 and 2 days: 75% of the total amount
Less than 2 days: 100% of the total amount

Insurance and Liability :
By booking an activity, you confirm that you:

The safety of the group and your own safety is everyone’s responsibility, therefore we ask you to:
– Strictly follow your instructor’s instructions without taking any initiatives; the instructor cannot be held responsible for any incidents, accidents, or injuries that may result.
– Report any health problems (hypoglycemia, asthma, contact lenses, etc.) or any injuries that occurred prior to the activity (such as sprains, surgery, or a weak knee joint) before the start of the activity.

Inextremis Aventura provides supervision for canyoning activities and also uses independent instructors. Each independent instructor is covered by professional liability insurance for their own activities and for expenses incurred during any rescue operation.
This insurance does not cover participants under “personal accident” insurance. We strongly advise each participant to inquire with their chosen insurance provider about liability insurance and/or personal accident insurance for outdoor/mountain sports.
Indeed, we cannot replace the individual civil liability of each participant.

The company Inextremis Aventura has civil liability insurance for all the activities it offers and its liability cannot be invoked for activities booked with other providers.

In the event of a personal injury, the liability of the company Inextremis Aventura and the instructor involved is waived as soon as the victim is taken into care by the competent rescue organizations, and any subsequent hospitalization will be the responsibility of the injured person’s personal insurance.

For minors participating in Inextremis Aventura activities and stays under the supervision of an external organization, the latter is legally responsible for the conditions of participation.

The participant/client is responsible for the equipment loaned to them for the activity. The professional cannot be held liable for any damage that may be caused by the equipment provided.

In the event of theft, loss or damage to loaned equipment, the participant/client may be asked for compensation related to wear and tear or a full refund for the equipment.

Meetings usually take place in the activity parking lots. These parking lots are often isolated in the mountains, so we advise you to take only the bare essentials in your vehicles. Inextremis Aventura accepts no responsibility for theft of equipment from your vehicles.

The professionals (instructors) and the company Inextremis Aventura cannot be held responsible for the loss, theft or breakage of objects (e.g. glasses, cameras…) that participants may bring with them during the activity and which may occur during the activity.

Image rights :
Inextremis Aventura reserves the right to use photos and videos taken during events to illustrate its brochures, various advertisements, social media, and websites, unless the participant objects, which must be expressly stated by email.
In accordance with French Law No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978, concerning information technology, data files, and civil liberties, you have the right to access, rectify, or delete information concerning you.
